Learning App Terms and Conditions
Academiq Maestro learning app
FINAL • 4 OCTOBER 2026
Scope
These terms apply to the separate Academiq Maestro learning app. The app does not provide tutoring sessions, so ordinary app use is not subject to tutoring-session recording.
1. Accounts, children and parents
- Account details must be accurate and login credentials kept secure.
- The app is designed for school-age learners as well as older students. Parent/guardian involvement, authorisation or management may be required depending on age, feature and applicable law.
- Users must not pretend to be another person or bypass age, safety, payment or access controls.
2. What the app provides
The app may provide educational questions and practice across supported subjects and levels, progress tracking, points/streaks, challenges, leaderboards or certificates, revision and past-paper-style activities, and AI-assisted learning support. Features, supported subjects, exam boards and content may change as the service develops.
3. No tutoring-session recording in the learning app
The learning app is separate from Academiq Maestro’s online tutoring service. It does not provide tutoring sessions and Academiq Maestro does not record tutoring sessions through the learning app. This does not prevent the app from processing information a user actively submits to a feature, such as text entered into an AI-assisted learning feature or an image/file uploaded where that feature is available; those uses are explained in the Privacy Notice.
4. AI-assisted learning support
AI-assisted features are intended to guide students, provide explanations or hints, generate relevant practice and help learners work towards answers. AI-generated material may contain mistakes or may not match a particular examiner’s preferred method. Users should check important work against teaching materials, mark schemes or a qualified teacher/tutor. Users must not upload unnecessary personal information, confidential information about another person or inappropriate images/files.
5. Acceptable use
- Use the app for legitimate learning and educational purposes.
- Do not harass other users, access another account, introduce malicious code, probe security, scrape the service or interfere with normal operation.
- Do not use AI/app features to generate or distribute unlawful, abusive, sexually exploitative, dangerous or rights-infringing material.
- Do not use the service to cheat where a school, examination body or assessment rules prohibit assistance.
6. Subscription, free trial and renewal
The Academiq Maestro learning app includes a 7-day free trial and then renews at £9.99 per month unless cancelled before the trial ends. The price, trial, renewal frequency and cancellation route will be displayed clearly before a user starts the trial or subscribes. Where a subscription is purchased through an app store, billing, cancellation and refunds may also be subject to that app store’s rules. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
7. Points, streaks, challenges and rewards
Any points, streaks, leaderboard position, certificate, challenge or reward is subject to the conditions displayed with that feature. Unless expressly stated otherwise, virtual points/streaks have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money. Academiq Maestro may correct points or rankings affected by error, fraud or manipulation. Engagement mechanics must not be designed to pressure children to disclose more data, make purchases or weaken privacy choices.
8. Educational content and results
Academiq Maestro takes reasonable care in providing educational content but does not guarantee that every question, AI output, explanation or feedback item will be error-free, or that use of the app will produce a particular grade or examination result. The app does not claim to predict future examination questions unless a specific feature is expressly described and substantiated otherwise.
9. Availability and changes
Academiq Maestro may maintain, improve, replace or discontinue features. For an ongoing paid service, changes will be handled fairly and in accordance with consumer law and will not remove mandatory rights.
10. Intellectual property and user content
Academiq Maestro owns or licenses the app, branding and original content. Users receive a personal, non-transferable right to use the app for its intended purpose. Content uploaded by a user remains theirs, but they grant the limited rights needed to process it and provide the selected feature.
11. Privacy and children’s data
The Academiq Maestro Privacy Notice explains how information is used. Child-facing privacy explanations should appear at relevant points in the app. Privacy settings and data use should be designed with children’s best interests and high privacy by default. Personalisation and progress features must not be used for unrelated advertising profiling of children.
12. Suspension, liability and complaints
Academiq Maestro may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated misuse, fraud, security threats, safeguarding concerns or unlawful conduct. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. Questions, cancellation/support enquiries or complaints can be sent to admin@academiqmaestro.com. Where purchased through an app store, cancellation may need to be completed through app-store subscription settings.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, while consumers retain mandatory protections and forum rights applicable where they live.
